With Professor Inger Kristesson Hallström as my main supervisor, my research focuses on investigating by means of non-participant observations, and family interviews, how the child's best interests are put into consideration, when the child comes into contact with healthcare. This research draws its background from the patient law that was implemented in Sweden in January 2015, which indicates that care given to a child should be given with consideration of the child's best interest, age, and maturity. The research will in other words give insights into how the child’s best interest can be part of a knowledge translation for development, evaluation, and implementation in care practice
