Research

My background is in theoretical physics. My research projects have been mainly developing theoretical models for biological systems. Systems Biology is to study biological systems using mathematical insights from the methods in Dynamical Systems. I have been extensively involved in developing mechanical models for describing growth and deformations in plant cell walls as a part of more comprehensive and multi modular models for Plant Morphodynamics. Such models are implemented in cellular level. In a finer scale , i.e atomic or mesoscopic scale I am also experienced in modelling Lipid Membranes using Molecular Dynamic Simulations. My current project is studying Protein Droplet formation by Intrinsically Disordered Proteins using methods in Statistical Field Theory.
