My doctoral research focuses on understanding the emergence, development and outcomes of collective action of smallholder farmers for sustainable agricultural development in sub-Saharan Africa and its impact on rural livelihoods and food security. The study also seeks to explore how farmer organization are mobilizing to reshape agricultural policies to better enhance biodiversity and ecosystem services in farmlands. This doctoral research is part of a larger project “Mobilizing farmer organisations for sustainable agriculture in sub-Saharan Africa”.
