My project “Studies in Greek unedited collections of the Apophthegmata Patrum” within the research programme “Early Monasticism and Classical Paideia” aims at studying and editing especially those apophthegmata collections found in cod. Scorialensis R.II.1 (and related manuscripts): the so called Collectio Scorialensis parva and Collectio alphabetica-anonyma derivata (see Present projects).

The translation seminar at Johannesakademin, Nya Slottet Bjärka-Säby, is held every month under the guidance of Per Rönnegård and me. At this seminar the Greek systematical collection of Apophthegmata Patrum is being translated into Swedish. The Greek text used is transcribed by me from the cod. Athos Protaton 86. The result is published in bilingual volumes entitled “Paradiset”.
