Carin Rehncrona

affiliated with the university

I am a PhD candidate at the Department of Service Management and Service Studies and Centre for Retail Studies since April 2014.

My project aims at studying the financial infrastructure supporting retail, and emerging payment systems. I am interested in the role between the financial service provider and the retailer. But also how the landscape for payments is being redrawn and what the societal implications are. For example with Single Euro Payments Area (SEPA), the EU aims to create the reality of a European Single Market for retail payments. A legal platform for this is the Payment Service Directive (PSD).

Academic Background
I have a Master of Science in Economics from Lund University with a focus on Macroeconomics and Econometrics.

Master Thesis, "EU Bank Capital Structure and Capital Requirements":

Bachelor Thesis, "UN Peace-keeping Operations and Economic Growth":
