I do research within the field of sustainability science, focusing on the interface between urban planning and urban ecology. I study how nature contributes to make our cities healthy, liveable, and resilient to climate change, with the aim of supporting better policy and management decisions. My main research interests are the integration of ecosystem services in planning practices and tools; the relation between urbanisation patterns, green space availability, and ecosystem service supply and demand; and the implementation of green infrastructure and nature-based solutions in cities.
I am currently a postdoctoral researcher at CEC in the Urban Nature project. My work focuses on developing and optimising future planning scenarios for Swedish cities. I use GIS and ecosystem service modeling to simulate the implementation of nature-based solutions and assess their effectiveness in addressing climate change-related issues, while also accounting for other co-benefits, from an equity perspective.
