Research

I am an Assistant Professor (biträdande universitetslektor) at the department of design sciences. My research is conducted within the field of ergonomics/human factors. I have a special interest in the organizational aspects of the field. A major theme in my research is teamwork, i.e. how teams actually work together and how organizational factors affect teamwork. Besides this organizational research track I am also interested in physical aspects of the work environment, specifically those aspects that could interact with and affect work or its organization (including teamwork), this includes the design of the work facilities and technology, visual ergonomics and auditory ergonomics. I am pragmatic when it comes to research methodology in the sense that I believe that the method used should be the one best suitable for the problem. In my own research I use both different qualitative methodologies and quantitative methods.

As an Assistant Professor I am an active teacher in courses concerned with interaction design, organizational design, leadership, patient safety, ehealth and risk management.
