I defended my thesis in September 2016 and my thesis is based on the European project, RightTimePlaceCare regarding informal caregivers of older people with dementia. The focus was on informal caregivers’ experience of caring, support activities, their well-being and burden.

Since Jan 2016 I am project manager and chairman of the Swedish project "Living with dementia, care and health care and social service systems" and the project "Dementia and apathy". From January 2017, I am a coordinator of the project TECH@HOME, Information and Communication Technology (ICT) for people with dementia.

From January 2017, I am a lecturer at the Institution of Health Sciences.

Professional work

I'm a registered Nurse, graduated in Lund in 1987, specialized in critical care in 1996 and has experience of thoracic surgery and neurosurgery. I took my master's degree in nursing in 2004 and at the same time I started to work with people with dementia in Lund municipality and since 2009 at the Memory clinic, Specialist Clinic in Lund / Malmö. During my PhD, I was clinically active in the Memory clinic for 20%. I have also worked as a project assistant in a European project, the RightTimePlaceCare (RTPC) at Lund University. The project was intended to improve health care for the population of Europe with dementia. I have also worked as a project assistant in a Swedish project "Living with dementia, care and healthcare systems," a collaboration between Lund University (Health Sciences, Nursing) and Linnaeus University (Social Work). I also have a diploma in "Complex interventions", trained in the European Academy of Nursing Science (EANS). After my dissertation I work clinically 20% in the Memory Health Unit, a unit with focus on secondary prevention actions (physical activity, diet, information / education) to people with dementia and their families and ongoing research projects.
