Research

My main research interest is on the determinants of health and well-being in the population with a focus on the effect of life course socioeconomic status on mortality at later ages. I utilize age-period-cohorts to investigate the distinctive effects of the three time components. I use Swedish historical and contemporary data that cover the last two centuries. In addition I am also interested in the impact of family structures on different life outcomes. I am part of the European project "LONGPOP" and the preliminary title of my dissertation is "Socioeconomic inequalities in health in Sweden in the 20th century". My main supervisor is Martin Dribe and my assistant supervisor is Luciana Quaranta.
