Compensation due to public investments (working title)

Research subject

Compensation for infrastructure intrusion, possibilities for profit share instead of compensation according to the Expropriation Act.


The research is multidisciplinary. It covers subjects as real estate law, real estate economics etc. From a law-and-ecomoic analysis existing rules for compensation according to the Expropriation Act is examined and evaluated. The research aim to find an alternative model for compensation when intrusion is made in real property where a fair part of the profit is shared. The research is also going to concern philiosophical aspects; what is fairness and justice in respect to compensation when intrusion is made for infrastructure or for public purposes.

The research will be presented as a monography in swedish.

Start: 1 september 2015, planned to finish spring 2021.


I teach in subject connected to Real Estate Science, preferentially in Real Estate Law and compensation according to that. I also tutor master thesis, that concern a subject close to my own research.
