Research

The purpose of the research is to do system analyses using methanol in internal combustion engines, especially in engines that use the PPC (partially premixed combustion) concept. The goals are for instance to.

1. Fit existing models for system analyses for methanol in heavy-duty engines.

2. Create new models for system analyses for methanol in light-duty engines.

3. Evaluate the models based on experimental data from KCFP-studies and studies provided from the industry partners.

4. Perform tank-to-wheel analyses with methanol as a fuel.
