The research has mainly been focused on multidisciplinary health promotion and life-long secondary prevention for children with Cerebral Palsy (CP). The major reasons for developing the national quality registry CPUP in 1994 was the increased risk of developing muscle contracture, hip dislocation, scoliosis and pain putting the children at risk for limited activity and participation in daily life.
