My research primarily focuses on the proactive assessment of response capability, and how these assessments support disaster risk management. Focus is also on how various disaster risk management activities are related and can be integrated to better contribute to the long-term reduction of disaster losses. As part of my research, I have worked closely together with public actors on local, regional and national levels in Sweden.
I am the course coordinator of the courses "Foundations for Risk Assessment and Management" (VRSN05 and TFRP25) and "Perspektiv på trygghet, säkerhet och resiliens i samhället" (TFRU25). I also supervise master theses projects focusing on various aspects of risk management and societal safety.
I am the assistant programme director for two educational programmes at the Faculty of Engineering at Lund University: the master programme in Risk Management and Safety Engineering and the Fire Protection Engineering programme.
