Research

Helena Svensson is associate senior lecturer at the Department of Chemical Engineering, Lund University. Her research is focused on gas purification and thermochemical processes, including development of new technologies for energy-efficient absorption of carbon dioxide and the removal of tars from gases in biomass gasification. The research is conducted in close cooperation with industry, research institutes and academia.

In her teaching Helena works with highlighting the energy and environmental issues that are relevant to the chemical industry and heat and power industry, with particular focus on processes based on renewable raw materials.
