Licentiate thesis (a half PhD) with a primary focus on community interventions in so-called vulnerable housing areas. Areas of interest subsequently expanded to interest in non govermental organisations and participatory methods.


Have (with few exceptions) taught at all levels of the BSc in social work programme. Now primarily lectures on social work on structural level in the course Legal issues in social work 2, and workshops and seminars in the cross-disciplinary course Participatory Methods of Change Development, which is a part of the Faculty of Social Science's  master's programme. Course director for the social work placement course, on semester 5. 2012 appointed as Excellent Teaching Practitioner and a such a member of The Teaching Academy at the Faculty of Social Sciences.


For many years regularly involved in international networks and teacher exchanges mainly within the Erasmus/Socrates and NordPlus programmes, concentrating primarily on Community Work and participatory methods. Guest lectures and workshops in eg Bergen (Norway), Aarhus (Denmark), Bremen (Germany), Reykjavik (Iceland), or conferences / seminars (South Africa).

Professional work

I have a background as a social worker with over 20 years of experience primarily in municipal social services,  with a special interest in youth / field work and organisational development.
