My research interests include development and implementation of models for strength and fracture course analysis for orthotropic materials using linear and nonlinear fracture mechanics approaches. The area of application has primarily been perpendicular to grain fracture in wood and has in particular concerned wooden structural elements such as beams with a hole, notched beams and beams loaded perpendicular to the grain by dowel-type connections.
