Research

I am a PhD fellow in History since September 2017 with a master's degree in History from the University of Copenhagen in 2016. My thesis investigates the emotional practices of South African apartheid legislation from 1948 to 1990. My research interests include modern South African history, race and racism, the history and theory of emotions, Othering, colonialism, the British Empire, postcolonial theory and more.

I am supervised by Wiebke Kolbe, Professor in History at the Department of History at Lund University and co-supervised by Gunnel Cederlöf, Professor in History at the Department of Cultural Sciences at Linnaeus University.
