My research interests include organizational control, particularly in knowledge-intensive contexts, materiality in organizations, practice theory, gender and sexuality in organizations, branding, qualitative methods, and educational politics. I am in the final phase of a project named "Managing diversity in the Swedish police," and in 2018 I embarked on a project named "Brand orientations in the public sector."
I have taught organization theory extensively on all levels, from introductory- to PhD-courses. Currently, I am the head of a masters course in qualitative research methods and two PhD courses: "Qualitative Data Analysis and Theorization" and "Theory of Business Administration."
My research has been published in variuos academic outlets, such as Gender, Work & Organization, Human Relations, Organization, Organization Studies and Scandinavian Journal of Management. I am also reaching out to a more general audience through teaching. I have taught management for police officers on the national leadership program of the Swedish police. I have also been involved in management education for the Danish police, taught on a managment program for Swedish public servants, on variuos executive education programs, as well as on a business program for newly arrived academic immigrants.
