Research

As a doctoral student at the division for Environmental and Energy System Studies, my research engages with the political economy and governance of climate change.

My focus is on economic and financial relations and structures, how they are governed and their role in socio-technical systems. Specifically, I seek to address institutions and interdependencies that help enable or hinder sustainability transitions, focusing on the global petrochemical industry and related sectors.

I have a background in political economy and environmental and development economics and take an interdisciplinary approach to research, drawing on approaches from IPE, transition studies and beyond.

In previous research I have engaged with the notion of green growth and the role of economic models in policymaking.
