About my research

I work in a project aimed to analyze the effects of changes in agricultural policies on the structure of agriculture and the environment in Sweden. Emphasis is given to the ecological focus areas (EFAs) as part of the new “greening” Common Agricultural Policy (CAP) reform which aims to limit agriculture’s negative environmental impacts.

I mainly work with agent-based Agricultural Policy Simulator (AgriPoliS) model and linking the results to a multiple ecosystem-service production function that predicts impacts on biodiversity, pollination and biocontrol by natural enemies.

I have a PhD in Economics from the Swedish University of Agricultural Science (SLU). My PhD work was mainly focused on economic modeling and dealt with numerous water challenges in Macedonia. At the same University I also obtained my Master of Science degree in Business Administration where I mainly look at the impact of land fragmentation upon farmers economic structure in Macedonia.

As part of the research environment BECC and the MULTAGRI project I have the opportunity to continue working with environmental issues and their sustainable management.
