Research

I am a doctoral student in Semitic languages. The goal of my research project is to write a text critical edition of a Medieval treatise on bloodletting, a popular medical practice in humoral pathology and Hippocratic-Galenic medicine. The project allows me to work with Arabic and Hebrew, both of which are languages that I have special interest for. In addition to Medieval medicine, I am fascinated by Arabic dialectology and sociolinguistics, as well as Biblical Hebrew.
