Environmental epidemiology is an interdisciplinary research group with common ground in the use of epidemiological methods to investigate factors relevant to our health. Our research is based on register data, biological samples stored in biobanks and field studies. Examples of current research questions the group is working on are:

- Does tattoos increase the risks of developing certain cancers?

- What factors are important in the process of developing widespread pain?

- What is the significance of exposure to fluorinated substances during pregnancy?

- What affects the risk of becoming involuntarily childless?
