My name is Linn Eriksson and I am a PhD student in the department of Astronomy and Theoretical Physics at Lund University. The topic for my PhD project is theoretical planet formation, and in this project I use computer simulations to look at different types of planet-disc interactions, planet growth and migration, and dust evolution. While much effort in planet formation goes into studying detailed multidimensional models of planet formation processes on short timescales, we instead want to use the results of such simulations and put them all into one big one dimensional code. This will allow us to study how the different planet formation processes affect each other globally on large timescales.
