Linnea Wegerstad's research interest are broadly in the field of law, gender and sexuality, with a focus on criminal law, sexual offenses and feminist legal theory. Currently she is involved in the project "The #metoo momentum and its aftermath: digital justice seeking and societal responses" together with Ulrika Andersson, Lena Karlsson and Claire McGlynn.
Linnea Wegerstad teaches criminal law, criminal procedure law and feminist legal theory. She is course director for the advanced courses "Sexuality, social control and criminal law" and "Criminal proceedings - from preliminary investigation to judgment".
Linnea Wegerstad has since 2015 worked in the general courts and most recently practiced as a junior judge at the Malmö District Court. She is now on leave from the court to do research and teaching for the Faculty of Law.
