In my PhD thesis, written at Copenhagen University, I use a Foucault-inspired point of departure. The thesis investigates how users are governed at public libraries in Denmark and Sweden with staff-less opening hours, but also how they transcend governing. My resent research interest is to explore how the library materially and discursively is constructed as a safe place promoting trust.
