Research in comparative legal history, especially constitutional legal history, and procedural law. For example questions about judicial independence, rule of law, the way judges handle rights and freedoms and other constitutional issues, the history of judging, and the law of precedent. Also the history of insurance law, and legal symbols, heraldry and iconography.

Teaching

Teaches comparative legal history and civil procedural law.
