Research

I am doctor of Research Policy and have a Habilitation in Sociology. I am active as researcher and teacher in organizational sociology, sociology of science, and 20th century history of science. My current research is focused on the multifaceted relationships between science and society, and politics and organization of research infrastructure. In this work, and in teaching, I make use of the breadth of classic sociological theory, with some emphasis on organizational sociology. My work has a natural collaborative ingredient, and I am the coordinator of one of the thematic cooperation initiatives of Lund University, namely BISS – Big Science and Society. I am also a frequently hired consultant in evaluations of research organization and research funding.
