I study stainable everyday personal transportation from a consumer culture perspective, focusing on public transportation. Public transportation is often argued to work towards leveling the mobile playing field; everyone has the right to be mobile, which can also mean that everyone has to be mobile. Being mobile is a crucial affordance, prerequisite and skill in many different markets today; labor, leisure and the maintenance of our everyday to name a few. I am especially interested in the trips to and from the work place, i.e. commuting.
