The aim of my research will be to advance our understanding of co-speech gesture and bilingualism. To this end, I will investigate the use of different pitch metaphors in speech and gesture in the context of language switching.

I take an experimental approach which will include various techniques and methodologies used in psycholinguistic research and cognitive science more generally.

My research is situated within the Embodied Bilingualism project (see funded by The Knut and Alice Wallenberg Foundation.
