Current Research

My PhD-project concerns how social groups and institutions affect political decisions. Theoretically, I focus on the impact of political institutions on long-term investment policies. The empirical emphasis is on the evolution of modern taxation from 1800 to today. For more details and recent working papers see my page at the Reform Capacity of Government website.
