Research

I am a PhD Candidate in Service Studies with specialisation in Sustainability at the Department of Service Management and Service Studies.

In my PhD project, I look at the interaction of traditional business models and sustainability motives. Based on circular economic thinking, extending the use value of products is highly important to reduce the overall material throughput. Therefore, in my current research I'm particularly interested in different services and corporate strategies, within the fashion industry, aimed at extending the lifetime of products through the consumption phase.

Before starting my doctoral position, I gained an undergraduate MA(SocSci) degree in Business and Management in Scotland from the University of Glasgow, Adam Smith Business School. Upon that, I gained a postgraduate MSc degree in International Marketing and Brand Management, with a focus on consumer trends, brands and innovation at Lund University, School of Economics and Management. During my undergraduate and postgraduate studies, I was always drawn to subjects around business ethics, sustainability, and CSR, which I chose to focus on at both of my dissertations, from a consumer angle within the empirical field of the fashion industry. This experience motivated me to undertake a doctoral research project connected to sustainability, business models, and consumption.
