I am Associate Professor in Strategic Management Accounting and Information Systems at the Department of Business Administration at Lund University, Sweden. I have followed the development from the “dry figures” in accounting, budgeting and costing to the role of “value creation and enhanced competitiveness” that is the outcome of strategic management accounting.

My current research is about Lean management and accounting in global supply chains. Another area is Lean accounting in healtcare organisations in Sweden and Japan.

 

Teaching

I teach courses in management accounting, management control and accounting information systems, strategic cost management and interorganisational management accounting from A-level courses to Master level. I also tutor and examine bachelor and master thesis.

No formal programme responsibility, but I have participationg in several meetings regarding planning and development of our master program in Accounting & Finance.

Course leader for BUSN67 Accounting Information Systems including meetings with the other teachers on the course. Participation in meetings with other course leaders for joint planning and control.

8. Briefly describe your work with IT-supported teaching and learning

For all my courses I use Live@Lund for publishing course documents, memos, articles, Powerpoint presentations, Excel labs, feedback on cases, and discussion boards. In BUSN67 Accounting Information Systems, we use the ERP system Navision in a lab, the business intelligence- tool QlikView in two labs, and Excel (including pivot tables) in two labs. In BUSN71 Accounting and management Control, we use Excel in a lab on ABC and Lean.
