Sofia Åkerman has been a doctoral candidate since June 3 2019, with Titti Mattsson and Sverker Jönsson (LU) as supervisors.

The project´s working title is ”Personal accountability versus system perspective in connection with medical malpractice - why and for whom?” The project deals with issues of accountability in connection with medical malpractice - the distribution of responsibility between individual and system. The purpose is to examine the legal consequences of focus on personal accountability versus focus on the surrounding system in such situations. The research project is part of the faculty's Health Law environment and is partly financed by the Craaford foundation.
