Teis has an interest in the relation between innovation, sustainability, policy and globalisation. His research focuses on the importance of spatial aspects of innovation processes for sustainability transitions; transformative innovation policy; the role of innovation in the bioeconomy; and on the position of emerging economies in global innovation processes within the field of renewable energy.
