Research

My research as a professor of Mental Health and Mental Health Services Research is about strengthening people's mental health. Today, everyone at some point in their lives is affected by mental health problems, directly or indirectly. It deals with everything from common problems such as stress and anxiety to more severe mental illness. Developing care and support efforts that support mental health in different life situations, in different environments and for different target groups are therefore central. I develop and evaluate innovations that lead to work, studies, housing and social life, and focus on young people, migrants, sick-listed people and unemployed, including digital ones. The initiatives are developed together with the target group and the operations where they are to be implemented. The psychiatric treatment of the participants is woven into the efforts for the best outcome. To support the development of a positive psychiatry that becomes integrated in society is central.
