Associate researcher. Department of Clinical Sciences, Diabetes and cardiovascular disease - genetic epidemiology, Lund University, November 2012 - present.

Research interests

Nutritional epidemiology, type 2 diabetes, folate, macronutrients, gene diet interactions, diet assessment methodology.

Ongoing project

Examination of associations between dietary intakes and development of type 2 diabetes and colorectal cancer, as well as interactions between diet and genetic variation, in the Malmö Diet and cancer cohort.

  • Data driven food patterns and cardiometabolic disease.

  • Interactions between a genetic risk score for type 2 diabetes and dietary intakes on incident type 2 diabetes

  • Different types of carbohydrates and their food sources in relation to incident type 2 diabetes

  • Intakes of meat and fiber rich foods in relation to colorectal cancer.
