Hej! My name is Weizhao Yang. I got my PhD at the University of Chinese Academy of Sciences in 2014, and now I work in Tobias' group as a postdoc with the topic of genomic signature of sexually selected introgression in wall lizard.

My generally research interests are mainly focused on elucidating the mechanisms of evolution on herps. I am particularly interested in the genetic basis of evolutionary novelties, because the genetic variations may lay the foundation for the phenotypic evolution. The principles of molecular evolution and population genetics, along with the advances in high throughput sequencing technology and bioinformatics, give us the opportunity to study the overall perspective of adaptation on the -omics level.
