Description

In this project we will assess, in a participatory way, the role of arts-based sustainability research, and broadly Arts-Science interfaces (arts that use the latest global change research, and research that uses arts as a conduit for inquiry and reflection), in mobilising community and social engagement for realizing the SDGs.

Our premise is that novel modes of conducting research and engagement are necessary within sustainability. For this reason, our project is firmly rooted in the arts and creative practices as a means to equip an open, empowering, imaginative and transdisciplinary approach to inquiry and include marginalized perspectives.

Our project will create a one-of-a-kind global platform to learn how arts-based research approaches and creative practices can support the realization of the SDGs. The long-term vision is to become a comprehensive and dynamic learning resource for those utilizing the arts in environmental and sustainability research to support the achievement of the SDGs.
