Early warning signals: identifying sublethal responses caused by exposure to nanoplastics in aquatic ecosystems
Plastic pollution is one of our major emerging global environmental threats. When released into nature, plastic will fragment into smaller pieces, eventually reaching the nano-scale. Current knowledge regarding sublethal effects caused by exposure to nanoplastics is very scarce. This project aims at identifying sublethal responses related to predator - prey interactions in aquatic food webs.
