Evaluating for a transition - approaches and use
Project: Dissertation
Research areas and keywords
Keywords
- Policy evaluation , Transition, Energy efficiency
Description
This project evolves around the development of a cross-border knowledge regarding methods for evaluation of research and policy instruments. Such instruments, if properly designed and combined, are expected to realize a transition to a more sustainable energy system. This however, requires well-designed strategies for evaluation that can generate learning and knowledge about how the instruments affect the energy system. The knowledge on evaluation is however fragmented and strongly linked to different disciplines, thus creating results that may emphasize certain disciplines while leaving others unaccounted for. By identifying and combining different disciplines, we aim to produce a transdisciplinary platform for evaluation.

By identifying and combining different disciplines, we aim to produce a transdisciplinary platform for evaluation that can support transformative efforts in society, by emphasizing robust evaluation approaches and an applied and deliberate use of evaluations.
