This project addresses questions about the future supply of unpaid care, as an aging population implies a potential conflict between longer working lives and growing care needs, not least for women who tend to do more caregiving across the life course than men. The project studies the paid and unpaid work of the older adult population as well as family-dynamic processes linked to health shocks and caregiving responsibilities in Sweden and other countries by using administrative and surveys data.
