Description

In cooperation with associate professor Gunnar Flivik, department of orthopedics in Lund, and professor Per Wretenberg, department of orthopedics in Örebro, a low-dose CT protocol (published 2017) has been developed for 3D templating and navigated surgery of total hip arthroplasty (THA). It has been applied in two clinical projects:
1. Restoring biomechanical correct hip anatomy during THA, thesis project in Lund. CT scans are used to measure femoral anteversion and femoral offset. Co-workers Kiernan S, Flivik G, Sundqvist M, Geijer M.
2. Navigation assisted THA. The navigational equipment will be set up in Lindesberg hospital outside Örebro, where the first patients are scheduled in February 2017.
