Modelling Cognitive Development in Robots

Project: Research

Layman's description

The project will let a robot reproduce the main developmental stages of a child's first year. We will investigate a number of key questions: (1) How important is the body for cognitive development? (2) What is the role of social inertaction? (3) What is the role of goal-direction in learning? (4) What specific innate abilities are necessary?
