Project: Research › Interdisciplinary research
The overall purpose of this research is to contribute to sustainable urban development in Helsingborg through producing local knowledge regarding new ways of living together whilst fostering sharing practices that reduce environmental impact. The aim of the study is to gain a better understanding regarding the relation of new ways of living together between elderly (+70) and young people (18-25 years old) – both Swedish and newcomers – and how living together contributes to sustainable integration. The research focuses on understanding how different types of common activities and levels of involvement relate to different domains of multicultural and intergenerational integration when living together at SällBo –i.e. SällskapsBoende that is a project by Helsingsborghem testing an alternative way of living in Helsingborg.
