Software testing of autonomous systems

This sub-project aims at exploring new approaches for software testing of autonomous systems. While autonomous systems have received plethora attention in both academia and industry, testing towards these systems remains an unresolved area. In order to address this gap, challenges must be explored and, new techniques and approaches must be invented for testing of autonomous systems. In a first step, we survey through the practitioners from software industry to understand the challenges and practices for testing within autonomous domain, secondly we focus on improving testing of autonomous applications in specific contexts such as autonomous vehicles, and thirdly, we integrate these solutions to form a holistic understanding and approach to improve overall testing of autonomous systems.
