The Effect of Translation on Language Learning and Language Teaching
Translation exercises as a way of learning and teaching foreign languages are used in many parts of the world in the absence of empirical research supporting their use. The aim of this project was to build a theoretically informed empirical basis that can inform teaching practice. The overall question was: What is the value of translation exercises in foreign language learning in higher education?
