The aim of this project is to create a research network for the study of the narratives of death and corporeal suffering in 20th century fiction, journalism and non-fiction. The perspective is multi-disciplinary and the participating researchers come from fields such as journalism, media history, rhetoric, film studies, comparative literature, history, and human rights studies.
