Xenophobia and the labour movement. Changes in the position of the labour movement and the growth of xenophobian sentiments in Landskrona 1945-2005.

Project: Research

Layman's description

The aim is to examine whether and how xenophobic tendencies can be understood in light of changes in the role of the labour movement in society. Landskrona has been chosen because a populist party, Sverigedemokraterna, got a relatively large share of votes in the 2006 elections. Landskrona has previously been a social democratic stronghold.
