Hyperfine structure of metastable states of barium studied by atomic-beam magnetic-resonance with laser detection

Abstract

An atomic-beam magnetic-resonance technique together with laser detection has been used to study the hyperfine structure of the metastable states of the 6s5d configuration of barium. Preliminary results for the 3D1 state, which has not been studied previously, are given.
