Research output: Contribution to journalArticle

Abstract

Pottiaceae subfam. Trichostomoideae in Scania, S Sweden – The members of Pottiaceae subfam. Trichostomoideae excluding Weissia spp. in the province of Skåne (Scania), southern-most Sweden, has been revised based on vouchers collected during the ongoing inventory of the bryophyte flora of the province. In addition, all available earlier records have been compiled and are presented for comparison (but not necessarily verified). A diagnostic key is presented and the distribution of the more common species is mapped. In total, 29 species have been found in the province, but for Gymnostomum calcareum, Trichostomum brachydontium and T. crispulum there are no modern records. Four species, viz. Barbula sardoa, Didymodon luridus, Pseudocrossidium obtusulum, P. revolutum, not previously found or only anectodically mentioned in the literature, are here reported for the first time from the province.
